Self Catering bookings for the Sheling, Balvatin Cottages are from Saturday to Saturday. Weekends and Christmas and New Year weeks are flexible arrival dates as agreed. Occupancy is normally from 3.30pm on the day of arrival, arrangements can be made if arriving later in the evening. Departure time is 10.00am to allow time for cleaning and servicing.
Prices shown are for the maximum occupancy which must not be exceeded ( i.e. 6 plus one infant) . The rates include all heating and electricity, bed linen(sheets, Duvet covers, pillowcases), towels (excludes cot linen).
Advance bookings require a deposit of £75.00 for each week booked. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Late bookings and mini breaks require full payment at the time of booking. A deposit to cover any damage to household items may be requested - this is returnable in full after departure subject to checks by the property manager.
Cancellations, prior to the payment of balance will forfeit the amount of the deposit. After that date full payment will be charged. We therefore recommend cancellation insurance.
Dogs are permitted, however please remember that some people are allergic to animals so dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms. They should be exercised outside of the communal gardens. A charge will be made for dogs at £15.00 per dog per week.
A folding travel cot and high chair are available at £10.00 per week.
Guests are asked to leave their accommodation clean and tidy. Guests will be responsible for any loss, breakages or accidental damage to property, furnishings, crockery etc. during their stay. All damage must be paid for prior to checking out.
The proprietors reserve the right to decline accommodation and to demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons not complying with the conditions or for any conduct detrimental to the property or the comfort of other guests or residents.
The owners shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or mishap to persons or property whilst on or using the premises, or from any illness or injury arising from any cause whatsoever.
Should the property become unavailable or unsuitable for letting subsequent to booking through any cause, the owner's liability shall be limited to the amount of any rent paid.
The owners or their agents shall be permitted access to the property at all reasonable times to carry out essential maintenance or if there is an emergency.
